You know how I’ve been working like little Cinderella on my IKEA faux built-ins upstairs, which is sort-of a catch-all room that I’m trying to make look like it’s not a catch-all room.

It’s the only room we have upstairs (along with its bathroom) and it’s a perfect place to send the kids to play their video games, and it’s where my desk is so that I can get uninterrupted work done. **Note: I have not shared that part of the room with you, yet, because it currently has piles of books I don’t want to part with, but need to, and other things that “I need to go through”  🙄

In the coming weeks, after I get my life together*, I will share the entire room with you, but for now it’s still under construction.

On the opposite wall of the IKEA project from hell mentioned above, we have a TV and coffee table combo that I’m loving and I want to share it with you today because these pieces are from World Market and they are even more gorgeous in person!

Here’s what I love so much about these pieces:

The wall with the IKEA stuff is all white and sleek and contemporary (although the trim makes it a little more traditional).

So the rustic wood and industrial metal detailing on these World Market pieces are such a great balance for my rustic-loving heart!

You can see in the TV reflection how sleek the IKEA stuff is on the opposite wall. I love the balance of these rustic/industrial pieces, and how the wood warms up the space.

The wood is nice and heavy - these are not covered particle board! It’s real wood with gorgeous grain. And the metal detail, omg. 😍 (PS that’s our barn door DIY in the background. I still love it!)UPDATE: This coffee table is no longer available at…

UPDATE: This coffee table is no longer available at World Market, but I found one almost exactly like it at Target! The Target one is made of composite wood, not real wood, but the metal detailing is the same as you see here. Click here for the info!

This media unit has a unique latch closure that is industrial and adds character. I love it! (It’s the Langley Storage Cabinet and it’s 40% off right now! Use code FURNDEAL at checkout.)

The playing card wall hangings were a DIY of mine - I’ll share how I did those soon!

*I will not have my life together in the coming weeks. If it hasn’t happened, yet, it ain’t happenin’. I’ll still share the rest of the room with you, though!

UPDATE 12/6/18: Here are a few pictures of the Franklin Coffee Table from Target
